While the JD is away on tour, I've been trying to fill the time with creative endeavors--if I don't, I end up sitting all night in front of the computer. The more I do that, the harder it becomes to break the inertia of it all.
So I've been playing my new guitar a little. Here's a song I made over the last couple of days.
Tools: Powerbook G4, Garageband, internal microphone and guitar plugged directly into the computer.

Lalitree! That is *awesome*! Who is singing with you? Where is your banjo? We need more Lalitree melodies!
My other half is a contractor. While he is away I talk to my plants and animals incessantly. This practise, however, does not make a pretty recording.
May our happy husbands return soon!

That's me singing with me, though the magic of computers! :)
Being home alone is not fun, but occasionally I can motivate myself to use the time for something other than vegging out in front of the TV.

With no one here to stop me I have been watching the Simpsons *every* night. I can't remember the last time I watched television every day! I justify it like this: I live in Seattle, I must show some pride! Right...? The Internet wears the banal pants in my family. It sucks me in and spits me out rumpled, starving and smelly wondering how it could possibly be 1am already.
On that note, there is a strange ball of yellow light peeking through my window. I should really go synthesize some vitamin d while this Seattle rarity lasts.
I hope your motivational creative bug extends its' stay to keep you company :o)

sometime i want to do drum programs for a song of yours.
how did you get the guitar to sound like that? i really like it, but it says you plugged direct. is it a distortion pedal or does garage band have some kind of amp-ing software on it that i don't know about?
also... lunch sometime soon?
